Novelty Hill Road Work Continues This Week
Here are the expected lane and road closure areas related to the Redmond-area project for this week

The King County Road Services Division says that east of Redmond, work continues on the big Novelty Hill project, and 196th Avenue Northeast remains closed for a culvert installation. There could also be intermittent lane restrictions on Northeast 95th Street on a daily basis, Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.Â
Here are the upcoming or ongoing closures in the Redmond area:
- At 196th Avenue Northeast and 195th Avenue Northeast between Northeast Union Hill Road and Northeast Novelty Hill Road, which was closed as of June 20, remains closed the week of July 5-8 for culvert installation.
- On Northeast 95th Street between 195th  Avenue Northeast and Redmond city limits, expect intermittent lane restrictions between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. as part of a two-year construction project to improve traffic flow and safety on Novelty Hill Road.
- On Northeast Novelty Hill Road at 196th Ave Northeast, the week of July 5-8, expect intermittent lane restrictions or closures between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- On Northeast Union Hill Road between 188th Avenue Northeast to 500 feet east of 196th Avenue Northeast expect intermittent lane restrictions or closures between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. during the week of July 5-8.
