Update: Vincent Nutter In Custody, Says Snohomish County Sheriff

Update 9:03 p.m.: Snohomish County Sheriff just tweeted, "Suspect in custody!"

Update 8:50 p.m.: KIRO-7 reported in a tweet that police have surrounded Nutter in rural area of Snohomish County and that Nutter is requesting police to kill him. 

Update 6 p.m.:  The lockdown in the area has been lifted and roads are reopening, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office. They tweeted: "We did not find the suspect. Thanks to all residents for their patience during our search." KOMO News just reported that officials will use "passive" search methods to try and locate suspect, Vincent Nutter.

Update 5:35 p.m.: The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office just tweeted: "Deputy is on scene at a daycare that had been locked down since this started, parents are now picking up their kids."

Update 4:45 p.m. Friday, May 17: Snohomish County Sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton has told KOMO News that deputies were trying to serve a warrant for a weapons violation to Vincent Nutter, 22, who sped away in a vehicle to the area where the search is currently taking place. According to a post from a week ago on the Washington's Most Wanted website, Vincent Nutter and his father, Mark, are wanted by the wanted by the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force. Mark Nutter has been on the run since September and is wanted by the ATF and U.S. Marshals after they searched his Shoreline home and found high-powered rifles, hand guns and drugs. The Most Wanted website says Vincent Nutter has a has a criminal history that includes drugs, stolen vehicles and property.

“Right now, we consider them to be extremely dangerous,” Snohomish County Capt. Ty Trenary said. “They’ve both stated they won’t go back to prison, and have threatened to shoot it out with Snohomish County deputies. We’re concerned that the public could be at risk, which is why we’d like to get them safely into custody.”

Snohomish County Sheriff tweeted a message just after 3 p.m. Friday saying people in the area of 180th Street and James Street, about six miles north of Woodinville, should stay inside.

"Deputies on scene looking for a suspect at 180thSt SE and James St. If you are in the area, stay inside," the tweet said. 

At approximately 4:05 p.m., the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office tweeted: "Residents in a 1 miles radius of the scene at 180th St SE and James St/Interurban Ave have been asked to stay inside."
