Woodinville's Local Voices Includes Cascadia Edible Landscapes, Mathew Riggle & Viet Shelton

Woodinville Patch would like to welcome three new contributers to its Local Voices section: Cascadia Edible Landscapes, Mathew Riggle & Viet Shelton (for Susan DelBene).

Cascadia Edible Landscapes starts with a post about its Veggie Start CSA, which helps take the guesswork out of when to start seedlings. If you're planning to start a home garden, be sure to check out their blog.

Mathew Riggle shares a recent project where Clearwater Students Work for Salmon in a partnership with Snohomish County Surface Water Management and Clearwater Commons to restore and replant an area along the creek with native trees and shrubs. 

It's been a long project, but the work of about 20 students has paid off. Check out the blog for photos of their work.

Last, but not least, Viet Shelton is blogging on behalf of Congresswoman Susan DelBene. In his first post, DelBene Co-Sponsors Legislation to Stop Student Loan Interest Rates from Doubling, Shelton writes of legislation recently co-sponsored by DelBene that aims to maintain low interest rates on subsidized Stafford student loans, which are set to double in July unless Congress takes action.
