• School Building Authority awards millions to West Virginia schools (wboy.com) — Bridgeport residents should know that Harrison County is receiving nearly $3.5 million to expand and renovate Bridgeport High School, following new funding from the West Virginia School Building Authority. The same round of awards is also supporting school projects in Barbour, Braxton, Tucker and Monongalia counties, but the Bridgeport High School addition is one of the largest local investments. 
• Auction previews held for former North View & Washington Irving School buildings (wdtv.com) — If you’re eyeing redevelopment opportunities near Bridgeport, two former Harrison County school buildings—North View Elementary and Washington Irving Middle—are now up for online auction, with bidding open through Dec. 22. Prospective buyers can bid on the schools, playgrounds, and parking lots separately, with sale proceeds going back to the Harrison County Board of Education.
