Cannabist West Virginia Gives Back to Their Local Communities

Cannabist West Virginia Medical Dispensaries – Columbia Care’s retail brand that provides a higher experience built on passion, technology innovation, community commitment and product standards – is committed to supporting its local communities.

As part of its ongoing philanthropy efforts, the dispensaries, in the past week, have dropped off $4,000 in donations that they collected to Bartlett Housing Solutions, visited the Facing Hunger Foodbank where their monthly donations have resulted in over 4,914 meals, and dropped off $1,000 in donations and spent quality time at the Humane Society of Raleigh County.

  • Cannabist Morgantown collected $4,000 in donations for Bartlett Housing Solutions. The mission of Bartlett House, Inc. is to house, provide an avenue to self-sufficiency, and advocate for people experiencing homelessness.
  • Cannabist Huntington has collected monthly donations for Facing Hunger Foodbank, which has resulted in over 4,914 meals. The Facing Hunger Foodbank provides nutritious canned, boxed, fresh, frozen, and prepared food to nearly 130,000 individuals annually.
  • Cannabist Beckley collected $1,000 in donations for Humane Society of Raleigh County. The Humane Society of Raleigh County is a non-profit organization which has been serving people and pets since 1979. Its mission is to prevent animal abuse and neglect.
  • Cannabist Williamstown took $400 to American Legion Post 159 and raised another $1,000 at a live music event in May. The American Legion is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to fellow servicemembers and veterans.
  • Cannabist St. Albans took a $500 in donations to Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association. Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association is committed to saving the lives of animals by sheltering, adoption, foster care, altering, & cruelty prevention.
