• Monongalia County Man Admits to Firearms Charge (einpresswire.com) — Federal prosecutors in Clarksburg announced that a Monongalia County man from Westover admitted to lying on paperwork to buy a firearm in Morgantown for someone barred from owning guns. He now faces up to 10 years in prison, with a federal judge to decide his sentence after reviewing guidelines and other legal factors.
   

• Susan Betler Reynolds, 77, (smnewsnet.com) — Longtime friends and family are mourning Susan Betler Reynolds, who was born in Clarksburg and raised in nearby Nutter Fort before building a life of service, faith, and community in Maryland. Her obituary recalls her early years at Roosevelt-Wilson High School and Nutter Fort Baptist Church, her work with Reynolds Pharmacy and Leonardtown Baptist Church, and her devotion to family and friends.
   

• Governor Morrisey Announces New Appointments to State Boards - West Virginia Daily News (wvdn.com) — A Clarksburg native, businessman and educator Steven Cutright, has been appointed to the influential West Virginia Workforce Development Board, giving the city a direct voice in statewide job and training policy. Governor Patrick Morrisey also named several other leaders from around West Virginia to university boards, the PEIA Finance Board, and additional workforce posts aimed at shaping the state’s economic and educational future.
