• SBA grants funding to 12 counties for school projects (wvmetronews.com) — Keyser High School is set to receive $2 million for partial HVAC upgrades and roof replacement, thanks to new state School Building Authority grants for 2026. The funding is part of $49 million awarded to 12 counties statewide, aimed at modernizing aging school facilities and improving learning environments for students.
   

• Toby Jean (Nash) Ritchie (wvnews.com) — Keyser is mourning the loss of 78-year-old Toby Jean (Nash) Ritchie, a longtime resident who worked over two decades in the bakery at Martin’s Food Store and was known for her kindness and baking talents. She passed away December 10 at WVU Medicine Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, and a Celebration of Life will be held later at Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel.
