• An effort nearly four decades in the making, model railroad museum opens in Logan (wowktv.com) — A new, free model railroad museum has opened on Stratton Street in downtown Logan, right across from the Logan County Courthouse. Run by the Island Creek Model Railroad Club, it showcases detailed train layouts and West Virginia–inspired towns, and welcomes families, school groups, and rail fans on Tuesday and Thursday evenings without any admission charge.

• School building authority to fund 12 West Virginia projects, denies 18 (wowktv.com) — Logan County’s Man High School will receive over $3 million from the West Virginia School Building Authority to overhaul its outdated heating and air systems, including adding fresh air intake and better controls. The funding is part of $49 million awarded statewide for 2026 projects, after the SBA rejected more than half of the 30 county requests.
