• Oak Hill man admits to illegal gun possession after Glade Creek traffic stop (wvva.com) — A 37-year-old Oak Hill resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to illegally possessing a handgun during a 2024 traffic stop in Glade Creek. He faces up to 15 years in prison when sentenced in April 2026, as part of a broader federal effort targeting violent crime and illegal firearms.
   

• Foundation elects officers and trustees (theintermountain.com) — An Oak Hill pastor, Rev. Dr. Kenneth Krimmel of Oak Hill United Methodist Church, has been elected a trustee of the United Methodist Foundation of West Virginia starting January 1. His new role places a local faith leader in a key position with a foundation managing over $170 million for ministries across West Virginia and nearby Maryland.
