• Second man charged in deadly Charleston shooting, records say (wchstv.com) — Two men from St. Albans are jailed without bond after being charged in connection with a deadly shooting at a Charleston home, where a 31-year-old man was killed. Investigators say one suspect identified the other as the shooter and described a planned meeting over money and synthetic marijuana that turned violent. Both await further court proceedings in regional jails.
   

• Michigan man sentenced for committing federal drug crimes in West Virginia and Montana (wvnstv.com) — A Michigan man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for trafficking large quantities of meth in southern West Virginia and Montana, with local and federal agencies working together on the case. St. Albans Police are part of the regional MDENT task force credited with helping investigate the operation. A Charleston co-defendant is awaiting sentencing in early 2026.
