• Vienna mayor reflects on first year in office (wtap.com) — Vienna residents get a look at Mayor Chad Emrick’s first year in office, which emphasized major infrastructure upgrades in local parks, the wildlife refuge, and the kayak launch. He says his team boosted communication through social media alerts and plans even bigger projects ahead, including cleaning up the Johns Manville site, more paving and sidewalk repairs, and riverfront improvements.
   

• Over 100 kids shopped with a cop for Christmas presents (wtap.com) — More than 100 local children in need got to shop for Christmas gifts alongside police officers at the Vienna Walmart during the annual Shop with a Cop event. Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 79 spent over $16,000 on toys, building positive connections between officers and kids from across the Mid-Ohio Valley while local stores added treats, photo booths, and holiday characters.
