Courses like MIG, TIG, and SMAW run Wednesday and Thursday evenings through April 18, with options to pursue certifications and degrees that can boost local job prospects.

Bridges of Hope plans medical respite care unit for homeless in Wheeling (wtrf.com) — A new medical respite care unit is being planned in Wheeling to give homeless residents a safe, staffed place to recover from surgeries, serious illnesses, and injuries. Bridges of Hope CEO Crystal Bauer hopes to open 12 beds split between men and women, including dedicated end-of-life spaces, so people aren’t forced back to tents or shelters while still needing intensive care.

OVGH letters to shine again as restoration moves forward in Wheeling (wtrf.com) — Wheeling residents can look forward to the iconic green OVGH letters shining again, this time at the future Robrecht Riverfront Park downtown. Wheeling Park High School students are restoring the six-foot steel-and-porcelain letters, which will be mounted on a new tower incorporating bricks and benches from the former Ohio Valley Medical Center, along with trail access, parking, and a new kayak launch.
