Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Stops In Oconomowoc And Tosa Friday

Here are the stops the Canadian Pacific holiday train is making in the Milwaukee area on Friday, Dec. 9.

WISCONSIN — The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train plans to make several stops across Wisconsin during its return to the rails this winter, including some in the Milwaukee area on Friday.

The train was set to arrive in the eastern part of the state by Dec. 8, with the first event stops in Sturtevant and then Caledonia, according to Canadian Pacific's online holiday train tracker. The train was then scheduled to loop north through Milwaukee then head west. On Dec. 9, the train will stop in Wauwatosa and Oconomowoc.

It's the first time in three years that the Canadian Pacific train is taking its cross-continent trip through the United States and Canada raising money, food and awareness for local food banks, according to a news release from the railway.

Here's what you need to know about the train's stops on Friday:

  • Wauwatosa: 4:15 p.m. Dec. 9, Harwood Avenue railway crossing
  • Hartland: 5:45 p.m. Dec. 9, Cottonwood Avenue railway crossing
  • Oconomowoc: 6:45 p.m. Dec. 9, Silver Lake Street railway crossing

On Dec. 10, the holiday train is scheduled to stop in Portage, Wisconsin Dells, Mauston, Tomah, Sparta and La Crosse. Afterward, the train will track a course nearby the Mississippi River until it arrives in St. Paul in Minnesota on Dec. 12.

During the tour stops, Canadian Pacific plans on presenting live music performances from Alan Doyle, Tenille Townes, Mackenzie Porter, Lindsay Ell and others, according to the news release.

The 2022 United States tour started Nov. 23 in Maine. The train was then set to travel west and criss-cross across the country until it reaches Wisconsin by December.

The holiday shows are free to attend but Canadian Pacific asked people to bring cash or non-perishable food donations if they can. Local food banks will be present with collection stations at each event with all donations staying within the local market.
