MILWAUKEE — The Republican National Convention began Monday in Milwaukee, two days after Donald Trump was injured in an assassination attempt against him.
Though the attack on the former president put a heightened focus on the safety and security of the event, Trump and his campaign promised to go forward with this week's events as planned.
Trump is not expected to speak at the RNC until Thursday night. But several national figures and politicians are expected to address attendees Monday.
