WI Single-Day Record: 1,100 New COVID-19 Cases, 13 New Deaths
The number of positive cases of COVID-19 has reached a new single-day record, according to the the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
ACROSS WISCONSIN—The number of positive cases of COVID-19 has reached a new single-day record, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. On Tuesday, the department reported 1,117 new positive cases of COVID-19.
DHS officials also reported 13 news deaths in the state Tuesday, bringing the total to 859.
More than 750,000 people have tested negative for COVID-19 while more than 44,000 have tested positive for the virus.

Sixty-five people have been newly hospitalized for the virus, bringing the total number to 4,194.

More than 33,000 people - or 75 percent - have recovered from the virus. There are still 9,369 active cases in the state, DHS officials said.

Daily testing capacity stands at 24,162, according to the state health department.
There are 83 labs currently performing testing for COVID-19, and there are 24 labs planning to test, DHS officials said.
Milwaukee County’s COVID-19 dashboard showed 16,555 positive cases and 367 deaths in the county as of Tuesday afternoon.
