Appleton Public Library: We Walk With Our Youth
Youth on the Move highlights National Runaway and Homeless Youth Prevention Month.
October 29, 2021
We're committed to inclusion and advocacy for our community and youth. We're proud to once again partner with the Boys & Girls Club of the Fox Valley - Home Base for their Youth on the Move Campaign. Youth on the Move highlights National Runaway and Homeless Youth Prevention Month. You'll notice green footprints painted along our front windows. By painting green footprints in safe support places in the community, Home Base hopes to show youth that when they walk, they are not walking alone, but alongside their community.

In addition, Home Base is “shining a light” on this unseen population by illuminating the Houdini Plaza fountain and Jones Park in green throughout November.
The Boys & Girls Club of the Fox Valley - Home Base will also host a Community Wellness Fair Wednesday, November 17 at 5 pm at the Appleton Boys & Girls Club.
