GREEN BAY, WI — The Green Bay Packers’ worst fears were confirmed Monday, with news that Micah Parsons suffered a torn ACL in the team’s 34-26 road loss to the Denver Broncos and will miss the remainder of the 2025 season.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, an MRI confirmed the diagnosis. "He faces a 9 month recovery at least," Rapoport reported.

"This injury is my greatest test, a moment God allowed to strengthen my testimony. I believe He walks with me through this storm and chose me for this fight because He knew my heart could carry it. I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season. I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again."

Parsons’ injury was part of a long list of setbacks for Green Bay on Sunday. The Packers also finished the game without wide receiver Christian Watson, safety Evan Williams (knee), tight end Josh Whyle (concussion) and right tackle Zach Tom.

With Green Bay falling and the Chicago Bears defeating Cleveland 31-3, Chicago improved to 10-3 and reclaimed a half-game lead in the division.

The Packers and Bears will meet again Saturday at Soldier Field, a rematch of last week’s 28-21 Green Bay win at Lambeau Field that ended with Keisean Nixon’s game-sealing interception.

Saturday’s matchup now comes with heightened urgency for Green Bay, which will be without one of its defensive stars for the rest of the season while trying to stay atop the NFC North.

The Packers remain slight favorites in the game, according to VegasInsider.
