Snapchat Threat Closes Fond Du Lac High School Classes: Police

The Fond du Lac High School canceled classes after students received a shooting threat on Snapchat, the superintendent said.

FOND DU LAC, WI — Fond Du Lac High School canceled classes on Tuesday after students received a shooting threat on social media on Monday, the Fond du Lac School District superintendent Jeffrey Fleig said in a letter to parents.

Police learned high school students received a threat through the social media platform Snapchat on Monday, the Fond du Lac Police Department said in a statement.

Classes would start again Wednesday, Fleig added. The closure would give police more time to investigate the threats.
