1 Dead In Moorland Road Crash: Report

Police said the crash happened in the southbound traffic lanes, and traffic was limited to the shoulder of the road.

NEW BERLIN, WI — Authorities say a 72-year-old Brookfield man has died after a car accident on Moorland Road Thursday morning.

New Berlin Police and Fire were sent to the 1900 block of Moorland Road at just after 9 a.m. Thursday on a report of a serious single-vehicle crash.

Police said the crash happened in the southbound traffic lanes, and traffic was limited to the shoulder of the road, and northbound traffic was limited to one lane.

Police said the Brookfield man was headed south on Moorland Road when he drove into the median, hit a pole and also a tree.

The man's vehicle had severe front-end damage and came to rest across both lanes of traffic.

Authorities say they're working to figure out whether the man suffered a medical issue before the crash. He was transported to the hospital, where he died, police said.
