3 Aldermen Not Seeking Re-election In Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, WI— The City of Brookfield announced incumbents who filed notification of noncandidacy for the April 5, 2022 election.

The alderman not running for another term include:

District 3, Michael Jurken
District 4, Mark S. Nelson
District 7, Brad Blumer

Blumer announced in early December he wouldn't seek re-election in 2022 after four years in office.

The city of Brookfield alderman made the announcement on Facebook, saying he will not be able to dedicate himself to role.

"As I approach the end of my term, I have been reflecting on the last 4 years and the prospect of running again as an Alderman. While I have truly enjoyed being one of the District 7 Alders, I feel that in the upcoming years I would not be able to dedicate myself to the role in the same capacity," Blumer's post said.

Patch reached out to Jurken and Nelson on Tuesday morning for comment.
