Alderman Blumer Won't Seek Re-election In Brookfield
Alderman Brad Blumer announced he won't run for another term.

BROOKFIELD, WI—Alderman Brad Blumer announced he won't seek re-election in 2022 after four years in office.
The city of Brookfield alderman made the announcement on Facebook, saying he will not be able to dedicate himself to role.
"As I approach the end of my term, I have been reflecting on the last 4 years and the prospect of running again as an Alderman. While I have truly enjoyed being one of the District 7 Alders, I feel that in the upcoming years I would not be able to dedicate myself to the role in the same capacity," Blumer's post said.

Blumer's household has grown, and both his and his wife's jobs have changed, he said.
"It is not in my nature to put in less than my best effort, so I have decided that I will not be seeking reelection in the spring," he added.
