Arts, Music And Craft Beer Coming To The Corners Of Brookfield
Artists want to bring beauty to the Town of Brookfield after two years under the pandemic, the festival's producer said.
BROOKFIELD, WI — An arts festival will let patrons eat and drink outside as they view work from nearly 80 artists across different mediums this June in the Town of Brookfield.
Arts, Crafts and Drafts will debut at the Corners of Brookfield, 20111 W. Bluemound Road, on June 11, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and June 12, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. People can enjoy art, live music, a selection of craft beers, vendors from BelAir Cantina and other amenities.
The festival will feature artists from across the country, as well as local artists. Two Brookfielders, Kate Shoemaker and Ryan Tuck, and four Wauwatosa residents, Charmine Rabishaw, Jenny Kyle Smith, Thomas Pscheid and Sarah Hunt-Frank, will have their work displayed.

Each of the featured artists will be on-site so people can talk to them and ask questions, festival producer Amy Amdur told Patch. Each artist submitted their work to a jury who approved them before they could participate in the exhibit.
The best way to enjoy the festival is to walk around first and return to the parts you love, Amdur said. The festival will be accessible to wheelchairs and strollers, and attractions include a community chalk zone, face painting and other family-friendly activities.

Artists' specialties range from traditional to contemporary, and mediums will include painting, jewelry and mixed media art. The festival will also feature more humorous art than typical, after two years of the pandemic, Amdur said.
"Artists wanted to say, 'let's bring some beauty in,' with their art after two years," she explained.
While Amdur isn't from Wisconsin, she thinks the unique art festival will be a hit in the Badger State.
"There's a good market for beer and art in Wisconsin," she said.
