BROOKFIELD, WI—After five years, Bake Street Cafe in Brookfield has closed its doors. The business was located at 18900 W Bluemound Road.

The owners posted the announcement on Facebook in September.

"To our amazing customers...You have allowed us to live our dream and employ some of most dedicated, hard-working, and innovative people we could have ever asked for. Without them, we would not have been able to grow to where we are today. They are the true backbone of Bake Street.

The new reality for our industry has forced our hand into new ways of doing things. After the shutdown, we knew it would be an uphill battle, but we were going to give it our best and attempt to persevere.

We are sad to say that after 5 years of great memories, we have decided to hang up our aprons and turn the page to a new chapter in our lives.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your celebrations, meetings, events, or daily lunch spot over these past years. We hope that you enjoyed the food as much as we enjoyed creating it.
September 12 will be our last day of operation - where we’ll have our most popular treats and sandwiches available in the cafe. All the best, Jeff and Erica."
