Brookfield Joins New Berlin Chamber for Walmart Meeting

A joint meeting will be held on April 23 at Charcoal Grill to help members become more informed on the building of a new Walmart, which is proposed for a site in New Berlin on the Brookfield border

The Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with its counterparts in New Berlin to answer questions that their members might have on the proposed Walmart on Greenfield Avenue, where the two cities meet.

Recognizing that business members often have interests that go beyond the city's borders, the meeting was extended to Brookfield by New Berlin, and will be open to chamber members only.

The proposed Walmart development would occupy a 15 acre site, part of which, is the current home of the Charcoal Grill & Rotisserie. Representatives from the law firm of Reinhart, Borner, Van Deuren,  s.c.  as well as representatives from Walmart will provide a power point presentation detailing the proposed development and be on hand to answer questions.

The meeting is being held at the Charcoal Grill so members can see the proposed site for themselves, according to the Brookfield Chamber.

An invite sent to Chamber members explained, "This proposed development has generated a lot of conversation within the city, and the New Berlin Chamber is happy to provide its members the opportunity to hear the details first hand, ask questions, and visit the site."

If you are a member of either chamber, the event is free, with registration beginning at 7:15 a.m. and the presentation to start at 7:30 a.m. Call the Brookfield Chamber office at 262-786-1886 or email  bcc@brookfieldchamber.com with any further questions.
