Brookfield Man Injured After Truck Struck Interstate 94 Overpass

BROOKFIELD, WI — A 58-year-old Brookfield man is injured after the delivery truck he was driving struck the Interstate 94 overpass, police said.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries, Brookfield Police Captain Chris Garcia told Patch. He will be given municipal traffic citations, Garcia said.

The crash happened around 8:50 a.m., police said.

The man was driving a dumpster delivery truck south on Moorland Road with its bed raised, police said. The bed of the truck struck the I-94 overpass as it was going under.

The Wisconsin State Patrol, Waukesha County Highway Department and the Brookfield Fire Department helped Brookfield police investigate, police said.
