Brookfield Police Seize Guns, Arrest 2 After Stolen Vehicle Chase

Police arrested two, including a teen, after a stolen vehicle fled a traffic stop Tuesday evening in Brookfield, police said.

BROOKFIELD, WI — Two people were arrested, including a teen, and two illegally owned guns were seized Tuesday evening after Brookfield police chased a stolen car, the agency said in a statement.

Police tried to stop the stolen vehicle near North Avenue and 124th Street, according to Brookfield Police Captain Chris Garcia. The vehicle fled the stop and CBPD officers followed until the three people got out of the car and ran away, Garcia said.

The chase ended near Burleigh Street and Mayfair Road, TMJ4 reported.

Officers managed to arrest two of the people who ran from the car, one of them an 18-year-old man and the other a 17-year-old boy, both from Milwaukee, police said. On Wednesday, Garcia said both are in custody.

Police said they plan on referring charges to the Waukesha County District Attorney, including resisting police and operating a vehicle without owners consent plus possession of marijuana and possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.
