Brookfield Stars Hockey Nabs Two Victories

Team also joins with Waukesha Wings to support fight against hunger.

Brookfield's co-op hockey team won two games this week while also joining an opponent for a successful food drive.

Saturday, the Stars defeated the Waukesha Wings 6-2. It was the Hockey for Hunger event, and two bins and a cash jar were overflowing with donations as both teams encouraged fans to bring items.

On the ice, Brandt Rogers notched a goal and three assists and Matt Fosdick added two goals for the Stars against Waukesha. Patrick O'Brien, PJ Corbett and Max Hoffman also tallied for Brookfield.

Then on Monday, the Stars traveled to Sheboygan and beat the Red Raiders 4-2. Rogers (goal, two assists) and Fosdick (goal, assist) again led the way. Hoffman and Corbett also scored.
