Central Bark Brookfield Hosts Dog Walk Training

BROOKFIELD, WI — Central Bark Brookfield will host a two week dog walk training course in early August.

Happy Tails Pets Training will host the first session at Central Bark Brookfield, located at 3675 N. 124th St., at 7:15 p.m. on Aug. 3.

Classes are 45 minutes each and are limited to four dogs per class, according to the event page. The class is focused on walking nicely on a leash, the page said.

Participating dogs that are five months old and up must have their DHPP and rabies shot, according to the event page. Each dog is limited to two handlers per class and any accompanying children must be at least 10 years old, the event page said.

Training dogs must be friendly with other dogs and people and not bark excessively, organizers said. If handlers are unsure if their dog is a good fit, they should contact Central Bark before signing up.

The course costs $50. Handlers must pay a $25 deposit within seven days of registration and another $25 within 24 hours of the first class.
