Deadly Overnight Crash On Interstate 94 Near Moreland Boulevard
One person was killed and another was injured after a rear end crash, which closed part of the freeway, the state patrol said.
BROOKFIELD, WI — One person was killed and another was injured in a rear end crash that shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 near Brookfield on Monday, the Wisconsin State Patrol announced.
One unknown person was pronounced dead at the scene after two cars struck each other while going west on I-94 near Moreland Boulevard around 9:20 p.m., the state patrol said in a statement. Another person had non-life threatening injuries, and both cars were completely wrecked and stopped in the left two lanes of traffic.
Traffic going westbound on I-94 near the interchange with Moreland Boulevard was halted as state troopers investigated the crash, the state patrol said. Freeway traffic closed for nearly four hours, Wisconsin State Patrol Sergeant Matthew Noah told Patch.
