Distinguished Young Women of Wisconsin to be named on August 12, 2023
Two Franklin High schools students are named to the Class of 2024
High School girls from across Wisconsin will join together for the Distinguished Young Women of Wisconsin State Finals to be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 6:00 PM. Participants will vie for cash scholarships and the opportunity to represent Wisconsin as the Distinguished Young Woman of Wisconsin at the National Finals in Mobile, Alabama.
The 2024 Wisconsin State representative, along with 49 other high school winners, will seek the opportunity to acquire some of the $100,000 in cash scholarships and hundreds of thousands of dollars of college-granted scholarships at the National Finals Program.
Two juniors from Franklin High School have been named participants in the State Finals Program!
Dina Sadig has been named the Distinguished Young Woman of Franklin-East, 2024. She is the daughter of Hashim Sadig and Shastha Elhaug of Franklin.

Meghana Sajja has been named the Distinguished Young Woman of Franklin-West, 2024. She is the daughter of Sreedevi and Venugopal Sajja of Franklin. Both young ladies were awarded $500 college scholarships for their academic achievement and will be participating for over $15,000 at the Wisconsin State Finals.
The Distinguished Young Women of Wisconsin At-Large and Local Programs are now taking applications for girls in the Classes of 2025 and 2026. Apply today at: www.distinguishedyw.org. Founded in 1958, Distinguished Young Women is a free program that encourages participants to reach their full individual potential. Our mission is to empower young women by providing over $1 billion in scholarship opportunities, developing their self-confidence and participating in our Life Skills Workshops that prepare them for success after high school.
