Dominic Days Festival in Full Swing

St. Dominic Catholic Parish's annual festival runs through Sunday, with raffles, music, food and much more.

Want to fest but don't want to head to Milwaukee for Bastille Days? 

Festival fun is right in your backyard this weekend, as hosts its annual church festival.

Besides the food, music, raffles and rides, Dominic Days features a Sheepshead tournament, car show and run/walk. Big raffle prizes are $25,000 cash and a 2011 Chevy Camaro RS.

Hours are 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, all on the grounds of St. Dominic's, 18255 W. Capitol Dr.

Friday:

Enjoy a fish fry from 5 to 8 p.m. and the Eddie Butts Band takes the stage at 7 p.m.

Saturday: 

Get there by 8:30 a.m. for the Steeplechase 5K Fun Run and 2 Mile Walk. (Course records to beat: men's —Chris Roberdeau 15:26 in2003; women's —Theresa Selestow 18:11 in 2008).

Kids can get wristbands for unlimited rides between 1 and 5 p.m.

Lasagna dinner will be available at 5 p.m. from the .

The music lineup: Siren from 2 to 4 p.m., Mama Dig Down's Brass Band from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and Cold Sweat & The Brew City Horns with special guest Alter Ego at 7 p.m. 

Sunday:

Celebrate the outdoor Family Mass at 10:30 a.m. before checking out the 17th annual car show at noon. 

Play or watch the Sheepshead tournament starting at 1 p.m in the Mercy Center. Prizes are on the line. 

Or watch the perform at noon, followed by the Doo Wop Daddies from 2 to 5:30 p.m.

For dinner, it's chicken, and the grand prize raffle drawing closes the festival at 5:30 p.m.
