Dr. Seuss: "Smile Because It Happened"
It was all Dr. Seuss at the Brookfield Public Library Monday, with songs, stories and Sneetches entertaining dozens of families.
About 90 people enjoyed a smorgasbord of Dr. Seuss themed activities Monday at the Brookfield Public Library.
The fun included pinning stars on thars (a Sneetch's belly), making a red-fish,-blue-fish paper chain, Cat in the Hat face painting, and other arts and crafts, songs and stories.
The event, led by storyteller Janice ("Mama Baer") Baer, ended after about an hour. But as Dr. Seuss said: "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."
