East Skiiers Place Second at Alpine Valley

The Brookfield East boys and girls ski teams each placed second in a five-team giant slalom event Wednesday night at Alpine Valley.

Erica Engstrand was the winner among the girls with a time of 60.31 seconds. Other varsity skiers included Shelby Jacob, Hailey McKenna, Chloe Olson, Clare Procknow, and Andi Moyer.

Michael Amato led the boys with a second-place overall finish in 55.50 seconds. The other boys varsity skiers included Brad Wolff, his brother Michael, Matt Filliat, Jack Kemnitz, and Henry Termuehlen.
