The Elmbrook Education Foundation (EEF) will host the 9th Annual EEF Golf Open, presented by TDS Telecom, on Tuesday, June 13th at Ironwood Golf Course in Sussex, WI. Proceeds will benefit the LAUNCH Program in our School District of Elmbrook high schools.

“TDS is proud to partner with the Elmbrook Education Foundation and recognize the foundation’s amazing support of our students and teachers,” said Brittini McDonald, TDS associate manager of field marketing in Brookfield. “Serving our communities is a core part of TDS’ mission, and we’re excited to sponsor and participate in this great event.”

LAUNCH provides specific and in-depth learning experiences for young adults with specialized interests in certain fields. Students participate in hands-on, interactive projects outside of the classroom. These students have the ability to engage in real challenges from businesses and industry partners in a project-based environment which allows students to expand their profession-based learning in fields such as Data Analytics, Future Teachers, Medicine and Healthcare and many more.

Bob Hall said, “The EEF Golf Outing is a fantastic opportunity to build community around student learning and providing students with professional experiences before they graduate. LAUNCH will enter its seventh year and because of the partnership with the EEF will provide over 400 students annually the opportunity to find their career interests and passions.”

EEF was organized in 1958 to award scholarships to select Elmbrook School District high school graduates. In 1999, the Foundation's mission expanded to include teacher grants for innovative projects that benefit all students and raise money to support and strengthen outstanding learning ideas that improve the overall educational quality of our public schools. EEF has awarded over $1,500,000 in scholarships and $500,000 in grants which enhance and extend the established curriculum and support projects that are beyond the district's budget.
