Farrow Votes for Voter Photo ID

A state legislator representing Brookfield said Thursday that he voted to require voters to show photo ID at the polls in order to help prevent voter fraud.

State Rep. Paul Farrow (R-Pewaukee) joined all fellow Republicans and two Democratic members of the state Assembly Wednesday night in passing the voter ID bill. 

“The right to vote is one of the core principles of our democracy, and we must protect it as such," Farrow said in an email statement Thursday.

"To achieve this goal, it is absolutely imperative that we ensure only legitimate ballots are cast, by those who are legally able to do so," Farrow said.

"This legislation will serve as a deterrent to those individuals who could potentially take advantage of our voting system, and will inspire confidence in the results of our elections at all levels of government,” he said.
