Garbage Pickup Contract And Construction: Brookfield City Agendas

Brookfield will review a potential contract with a new waste management service and decide whether to approve a developer's building plans.

BROOKFIELD, WI — City of Brookfield officials will meet for two days to discuss a developer's plans to construct a two-story building, consider a contract with a waste management company and meet with residents about a traffic control proposal.

Here are the agendas for city meetings this week at City Hall, 2000 N. Calhoun Road:

Monday: The Plan Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m.

It will review a permit request from Metropolitan Developer owner Richard Conley to build a 17,485-square-foot, two-story building at 3015 N. Brookfield Road, the agenda said.

The commission also will hear a permit request from a local church to build an addition to its sanctuary, discuss amendments for a zoning ordinance, and request a public hearing session to acquire funds for a sidewalk on Moorland Road.

Tuesday: The city will host a meeting for residents at 6 p.m. to notify people about a traffic problem on Robinwood Street from 124th Street to Elm Grove Road, the agenda said.

The city adopted guidelines for a "traffic calming process" in 2008 and wants feedback from at least half of the residents on Robinwood Street on whether to use that in their area, the agenda said.

The Water and Sewer Board will meet at 7 p.m. It will request an adjustment to a water and sewer bill from a residence, dedicate water and sewer systems for two buildings, and request an encroachment for a sanitary sewer crossing at a residence.

The Board of Public Works will meet after the Water and Sewer Board adjourns. It will discuss a contract between the city and Green For Life for waste management service, a rejection of a contract bid and parking restrictions in two locations.
