Judi Murphy and Murphy Associates Celebrate 31 Years in Business
Regional Public Relations and Marketing Strategy Firm Owner Also a 14-Year Partner at Oak Hill Business Partners
Murphy Associates, the regional public relations, marketing strategy, and brand journalism company, is marking its 31st year in business this month. Judi Murphy is the president and owner of the firm.
Murphy co-founded Murphy Associates with her late husband John Murphy in 1992 and has over 31 years of experience in public relations, marketing strategy, branding, brand journalism, and strategic partnerships. Murphy is also a 14-year partner at Oak Hill Business Partners, a growth and exit planning firm, managing marketing communications and strategic alliance partnerships for the company.
Murphy said, “Murphy Associates has worked with companies in the region to help them use public relations for shorter-term success, marketing strategy for longer-term success, and brand journalism to launch them as the expert in their field. Our strategies and approaches have brought recognition and success to so many companies in SE Wisconsin.”

She currently serves on the board of directors of the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the Independent Business Association of Wisconsin (IBAW), and continues as a 31-year member of the Brookfield Chamber, where she is public relations counsel. She was awarded the chamber’s Chamber Champion award in 2014 and Volunteer of the Year in 2019.
She has served on non-profit boards including board chair of Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, board member of Exit Planning Institute – Wisconsin Chapter, board member of Tempo Waukesha, board chair of Visit Brookfield (Brookfield Convention & Visitors Bureau), board chair of Metropolitan Speakers Council, and on the small business advisory boards for Waukesha County Technical College and Herzing University.

Murphy’s expertise in marketing strategy also led her to be a member of the City of Brookfield’s marketing sub-committee of the economic development committee as well as a member of the City’s 2020 Master Plan committee. She has also been a guest speaker on business ethics at Carroll University and Waukesha County Technical College.
