Man Bound For Trial In Brookfield Hit-And-Run Death
The fatal hit-and-run happened Oct. 9 in Brookfield, killing a 66-year-old man.
BROOKFIELD, WI — A Brookfield man charged in connection to the striking and killing a 66-year-old man with his car pleaded not guilty and will be bound for trial, according to online court records.
Edward Ford, 57, was charged with a felony count of hit-and-run involving a death, the records show. A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 24. In November, Ford pleaded not guilty and signed a $2,500 cash bond, the court records show.
Ford said he thought he hit a deer or a turkey near Imperial Drive and West Capitol Drive around 8:30 p.m. Oct. 9, according to police.

An 66-year-old man who has not been identified died after being struck by at least two cars, the Brookfield Police Department said. The second car was driven by a 18-year-old woman who was not named, police said.
Ford is a WISN-TV employee and wasn't working during the incident, the news channel reported.
