After closing in May because of staffing issues, Marty's Pizza said it plans on reopening its location in Brookfield.

BROOKFIELD, WI — After closing because of staffing issues in May, Marty's Pizza in Brookfield is set to reopen.
The business, located at 16680 West Bluemound Road, will open again on Aug. 16 for carryout and lunchtime delivery, the business announced this week via Facebook. The catering menu will also be available with 24 hours notice.
As the business reopens, it's looking to hire and train more people and expand hours, but for now, hours will be 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, according to the Facebook post.

When the business announced its closure in May, it was with "great sadness" and after a 65-year run in Brookfield. Owners said they were not able to fill positions for over a year, leaving them without enough staff. At the time, the pizza shop said it was "privileged to be a part of many special events and memories."
Before the reopening was announced, the business made a post about their final staff pizza. The post sparked memories from one commenter.

"Growing up in Brookfield during the 60's and 70's was made better by a Friday family dinner at Marty's Pizza," the commenter said. "My siblings and I could each order a milkshake with our pizza. Many a birthday party fed tons of kids with the Super Colossal pizza. Cheers to a great institution!"
After the closure, Marty's Pizza in Delafield expanded the catering range to make up for the losses.
But now, the memories, and the pizza, will be able to continue.
