The new venue is looking to fill 60 positions, including door hosts, box office attendants, AV technicians, servers, bartenders, food and drinks runners, line cooks and dish washers, Improv said in a statement. Improv is also searching for local comedians to perform during showcases and open mic nights in the late fall, Improv said. Interested local comics can send a five to 10 minute reel of their standup work directly to the talent manager, it added.
“Some of the funniest and most successful comedians to date started as bartenders and food runners at their local comedy clubs, and we want to find like-minded individuals, who appreciate the stand-up space, to join our Improv family,” Milwaukee Improv general manager Jayk Burczyk said. “At Improv, fostering up and coming comedians is a huge part of our mission and we can’t wait to grow with our local talent in the area.”
