New Census Data Show City Population Declining, Aging
Brookfield's median age is 46.7, up from 42.5 a decade ago, according to U.S. Census Bureau.

In the 2010 census, the median age of city residents was 46.7, compared to the median age statewide of 38.5. A decade ago, Brookfield's median age was 42.5.
In 2010, Brookfield had 87.2 percent home ownership, compared to 68.1 percent statewide. The average household size in Brookfield was 2.57 people, slightly higher than the statewide averaged size household of 2.43 people.
