New Garbage Contractor In Brookfield: What You Need To Know

BROOKFIELD, WI—The City of Brookfield Common Council will transition to a new garbage contractor, GFL (Green for Life) on Jan. 4, according to Alderman Brad Blumer.

GFL has begun delivering recycling cans for the recycling and trash collection.

  • From January to March 1, residents must place their garbage and recycling at the end of the driveway until GFL has new trucks available.
  • Your pickup day may change in 2022.
  • A new 32-gallon recycling container will be provided to you in December to used by residents in 2022.

If there are residents with legitimate medical reasons that they are unable to pull the cans towards the street, they should contact GFL at their customer care number 262-367-6040 and inform them of their need, according to the Department of Public Works.

Place your old Waste Management containers out on pickup days in December so that Advanced Disposal can retrieve them, as they are leased property.
