New Principal Named For Swanson Elementary: Elmbrook Schools
The leadership at Swanson Elementary School was picked from within the district, the district superintendent said.

BROOKFIELD, WI — New school leadership for Swanson Elementary School was announced by the Elmbrook School District on Wednesday.
Martin Castro and Christie Johnson will be the new principal and assistant principal at the elementary school, the school district said in a statement. They will begin their work in July.
Both Castro and Johnson worked within the district before their promotion, district superintendent Dr. Mark Hansen said in a statement.

"Both Martin and Christie have done excellent work on behalf of students and these new positions will allow us to continue to build a successful learning experience for all students at Swanson Elementary," Hansen said.
Castro, Swanson's assistant principal since 2019, will step in for Kori Hartman, who will retire after serving Swanson for 11 years, the district said. Johnson has worked as a teaching and learning specialist at Burleigh Elementary School since 2014.
