Operation Chemo Comfort Pairs With Elm Grove Business For Sewathon Helping Cancer Patients
The non-profit group will be at Patched Works for a 12-hour sewathon making hats and scarves.

ELM GROVE - Operation Chemo Comfort, which provides hats, scarves, and care packages to those affected with cancer, is teaming up with local business Patched Works for a 12-hour sewathon on Saturday, April 29, at the business at 13330 Watertown Plank Road.
The West Allis-based non-profit was the brainchild of employees at the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network, who work diligently to sew scarves and knit caps for patients undergoing chemotherapy.
The sewathon will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is aiming high, with a goal of 500 head scarves made for Froedtert cancer patients. According to Elm Grove Now, last year's sewathon was three hours long with about a dozen volunteers and the group is shooting for 15 people per two-hour shift during the 12-hour benefit.
