Police Report: Craigslist Sale Turns Explicit

Latest police calls include the theft of $637 worth of bras from Victoria's Secrets on Valentine's Day weekend.

A woman trying to sell a laptop computer on Craigslist received an explicit photo from an angry prospective buyer, according to the latest city police reports.

The woman told police on Monday that she gave the interested buyer directions to her address in the 3200 block of Cullen Drive. But after a misunderstanding between the parties, the male buyer sent her a photo of his genitalia with an angry message, according to reports.

An investigation was continuing.

In other police calls this week: 

  • Several retail thefts were reported at . Victoria's Secret staff said someone stole 15 bras worth a total of $637 sometime after 5 p.m. Saturday. There were no suspects.
  • In a theft at , a mall anchor store, a 44-year-old man was caught stealing a Green Bay Packers Super Bowl T-shirt and a pair of boots about 11 a.m. Sunday. The man took the items to a restroom, where he removed his shoes and walked out wearing the store's boots. Police recommended state retail theft charges be filed.
  • Also at Sears, a 17-year-old youth stole four bottles of cologne worth $200 on Feb. 11. He received a municipal citation for retail theft.
  • Two motorists drove away from without paying for their gas. A black Suburban drove off without paying $35.69 in gasoline at 4 p.m. Friday. A newer-model, four-door car left without paying a $52 gas tab at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
  • A woman called police about 7:30 p.m. Feb. 12 to report a suspicious vehicle was driving slowly up and down her block in the 1800 block of North 166th Street and might have placed something in a mailbox. It turned out to be a Valentine. 
  • An accidental 911 call led police to an underage drinker at in the 19700 block of Bradon Trail after 11 p.m. Saturday. A 16-year-old girl who was "extremely intoxicated" was taken to Elmbrook Memorial Hospital and police called her mother. The girl was cited for underage drinking.
  • A man contacted the police department Feb. 13 to say 100 photos of himself were missing from his computer and he believed someone had hacked into his computer to steal the photos. He told police he visits adult websites "which are common ways to get those types of files," and didn't know if that could be related. The man, who lives on Meadow View East, also named two possible suspects.

    A police investigator found some of the photos in a computer file the man did not know existed. The officer said he was not convinced the photos were missing or stolen.
  • A pipe was leaking water at a city Public Works building near the , 19450 Riverview Drive. A building alarm about 11 p.m. Feb. 14 notified police and fire, who were able to enter the building and shut off the water. City maintenance crews planned to investigate the matter.
