Rummage Daze Rescheduled to May 28
The Brookfield Jaycees have decided to try a second date for the annual community rummage sale after rain fouled Saturday's event.

Rummage Daze will be held at Wirth Park from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 28 — the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, for those vendors and shoppers who want to try again, Bill Kolstad, the city's Director of Parks, Recreation & Forestry, said Monday.
Kolstad said Saturday's event ended early after the rain "got progressively worse."

"They were hopeful" it would improve but decided when it didn't to reschedule to May 28, he added.
The outdoor fundraiser for the Jaycees was hurt by rain all day, with some vendors packing up within the first two hours of the planned seven-hour event. Those who stayed covered their wares with tarps and bags and carried weather-sensitive items back to their vehicles.Â
