St. Dominic's Celebrates Construction Progress

At its outdoor Mass during the Dominic Days festival, St. Dominic will mark the progress toward building a new athletic facility and arts and activities center.

With construction of new arts and activities and athletics facilities set for completion in mid-September, will celebrate the project's progress during next weekend's Dominic Days festival.

At an outdoor tent mass at 10:30 a.m. July 17, St. Dominic's will have a blessing prayer for the construction project and will present the first championship banner that will hang in the new athletic facility.

St. Dominic's 8th grade boys volleyball team won the 2011 Elizabeth Ann Seton volleyball championship.

The Catholic parish and school will hold its annual three-day Dominic Days festival next weekend July 15-17 on its grounds at 18255 W. Capitol Dr. In addition to music and food, the festival will include a golf outing, run/walk, rides, car show, Sheepshead tournament, and large raffle.
