UPDATE: Few Brookfield Customers Remain Without Power

We Energies crews were working to restore power to residential and business customers in the City and Town of Brookfield after Monday morning storms.

Updated at 10:30 p.m.: About five city of Brookfield customers remained without power, according to the latest information from We Energies.

Throughout Waukesha County about 45 customers still didn't have electric service as of 10:30 p.m. All town of Brookfield and Elm Grove customers had power restored.

At its peak, more than 1,500 Brookfield customers lost power in the city and town after . Downed trees on power lines were responsible for most outages, according to utility investigations.

At 10:30 a.m. there were about 8,000 outages in Waukesha County, second worst behind Kenosha County which reported about 9,700 without power.
