Summer Movie Line Up Starts This Weekend
With plenty of buzz over 'The Avengers,' movie goers will get an early start to a busy season at the cinema. See a list of planned summer movie releases from May through Sept. 7.
Marcus Theatres, which features movies at in the Town of Brookfield, posted a rundown of the films of summer that begin this weekend, about six weeks before summer officially begins.
"The Avengers" gets the summer line-up off to an early start this weekend. "Dark Shadows" — the latest movie from Johnny Depp and director Tim Burton — follows next weekend, along with the alien attack adventure, "Battleship." Anticipated returns are Batman in "The Dark Knight Rises" and Will Smith in "Men in Black III."
New family films include Pixar’s newest, "Brave," as well as "Ice Age: Continental Drift," "Madagascar 3-Europe’s Most Wanted" and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days."

The late Whitney Houston will be featured in her last performance, "Sparkle."
