Suspect Stole Google Nest Doorbell From Target: Report

Police in Brookfield are looking for a suspect who stole a home security device by removing the store's anti-theft tags.

BROOKFIELD, WI β€” Police in Brookfield are looking for a suspect who stole a home security device by removing the store's anti-theft tags.

According to Brookfield Police, at just before 7 p.m. on Dec. 2, a person walked into the Target at 12725 W. Bluemound Road and removed anti-theft security devices from a Google Nest thermostat valued at $179 and a Google Nest doorbell valued at $229 for a total of $408.

Police say they believe the man concealed the items into his sweatshirt pocket and exited the store without paying for them.

Police say the suspect was recorded on the store's security camera footage and was last seen getting into an unknown dark-colored sedan and exiting northbound through the lot.
